MISSING A LESSON? DON’T WORRY, WE MAKE IT EASY!
I HAD TO CANCEL MY LESSON FOR PERSONAL REASONS:
For any lesson missed by a student, choose any of our many Master Classes. It is a wonderful chance to learn how to play with other musicians and perform in front of others. If you would like to schedule a makeup class with your instructor, contact the office and not the instructor. We can not do private make-up lessons when students miss their lesson because our schedule is so packed!
MY TEACHER IS GOING TO BE GONE:
If you find out that your teacher is going to be gone, don’t worry, we will find you a quality substitute teacher. When teachers have to be gone, they make their best effort to leave a detailed report of what you have been working on and how their sub’s unique talent and approach could help develop your assignment even more. In the event that a sub cannot be scheduled, our office will offer to schedule a private makeup lesson with your teacher when they return. Please let the CSMS office be in charge of scheduling instead of teachers as our calendar has so many students and so little room that we have to strike a delicate balance.
IT’S A HOLIDAY OR A BREAK:
Monthly tuition is based on a 48 week year, not a 52 week year. We are closed for certain holidays and week long breaks. In the long months, you will get five lessons, short months such as November or December, you will get three lessons, but most months you will get four lessons. The tuition is the SAME each month; i.e. we don’t charge you more when you have five lessons, and we don’t charge you less when you have three lessons in a month. This makes everyone’s accounting easier.
WE HAD A SNOW DAY:
Colorado is known for unpredictable weather. If lessons are ever canceled due to inclement weather, we will have rescheduled lessons during break weeks (Spring Break and 4th of July). This allows for streamline adjustments in our already full calendar. Please let the CSMS office be in charge of scheduling instead of teachers as our calendar have so many students and so little room that we have to strike a delicate balance.
WE ARE GOING TO MISS A FEW LESSONS IN A ROW:
Here at CSMS, new students are signing up every week! There may even be people on the waitlist for your slot right now. Most of our students who are going to be gone for an extended amount of time,make-up their lessons in make-up class either before they leave or when they get back. They have waited to get a slot that works for their schedule and they don’t want to loose it to a new student. If you are not concerned about loosing your time slot while you are gone and would like to withdraw from lessons for the time you are gone, please make arrangements with the front desk about when your last lesson date will be.
We also operate year round and do not close for the summer. We are happy to offer unlimited makeup classes for students. If you are taking a month off for vacation and want to resume the next month, your payment is still due on the first of the month to reserve your lesson space.
